Who we’re looking for

Surfly is looking for the first brand designer in our growing Marketing team, as we develop our own internal creative studios. In this role you will need to be both a “doer” and a thinker: juggling executing creative campaigns while also building out our brand identity, and help develop the design methodology, framework, and process for future growth. You will work closely with the Sales and Product team to develop the creative assets they need to help to promote Surfly’s product and grow our revenue.

Surfly is in a period of rapid growth and we need someone who wants to help grow our business and as well as have the ambition to grow into a creative leadership role. You should be a Senior Designer with previous B2B scale-up experience with the ability to visually communicate the benefits of Surfly and its core technology through the creation of a wide range of assets.


Responsibilities

* Conceptualize and execute the creative design strategy behind all marketing and sales campaigns.

* Design innovative and effective brand experiences that support business growth and the overall brand experience.

* Work as part of the marketing team to design and produce a wide array of media and creative including emails, ads, sales content, print collateral, web visuals, company swag, and more.

* Work with the Product team to align their design system with Marketing’s to create a unified visual experience.

* Create/manage a system of creative templates and guidelines that can be used across our team on different projects

* Define, maintain, and elevate the brand standards, guidelines, and aesthetics.

* Use research and all available analytics to make strategic creative improvements to content and designs, while still knowing when to take creative risks.

* Develop and implement the internal design processes needed to support a fast growing company and creative team.

* Pursue and maintain an exceptional level of craft with the highest design standards and attention to detail across typography, layout, print, and digital.

* Own projects from kickoff through completion, incorporating feedback into thoughtful final assets.

Requirements

Qualifications & experience

* At least 5 years previous experience in a B2B SaaS environment where you worked closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to define and execute creative campaigns.

* A strong understanding of brand development and multichannel marketing concepts.

* Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) as well experience with Sketch and Figma. Microsoft Office (PowerPoint), and Google Applications experience would be a bonus.

* Demonstrated understanding of creative and conceptual problem solving

* Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality, and a critical eye for design aesthetics

* Ability to think strategically and suggest creative solutions

* Extremely well organized and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail

* Willingness to be the first designer on the Marketing team and to work toward building and leading an internal creative team

* Firm command of typography hierarchy, with the ability to follow and create conventions around how we use type and the skills to use it effectively

* Ability to develop, understand, and utilize the appropriate brand voice(s)

* Monitoring and promoting emerging trends in interactive technologies, content, design, and marketing tactics
