As a Frontend Engineer at Surfly, you will

  • Develop new user-facing features in collaboration with UX designer and backend engineers
  • Optimize the application for maximum speed and performance
  • Maintain and expand our JS API and REST API

We offer:

  • Work in a small team of highly skilled engineers. You will have a possibility to directly impact our end product with minimal bureaucracy
  • Sitting/standing desk, multiple screens, good hardware on the company expenses
  • Nice office located in the centre of Amsterdam
  • Reimbursement of costs for conferences etc.
  • Paid holiday leave
  • 25 holidays and approx. 7 national holidays per year
  • Tax benefits for foreign developers

Requirements

  • Solid experience working with JavaScript and CSS
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks (VueJS preferred)
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling and AJAX
  • Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
  • Experience developing automated unit, integration and functional test suites
  • Good knowledge of webpack
  • We're looking for a "getting-things-done" attitude. Ideal candidate should be comfortable with getting their hands dirty and occasionally studying the backend (Python) code.
